Written by Michael Cooney
Directed by Doug Wertz

An amateur con artist claims benefits for imaginary residents of his household in a scheme to defraud welfare, to the chagrin of his neighbors. But in this quintessential British farce by Michael Cooney, his not-so-carefully constructed plan is in danger of falling apart when various bureaucrats show up to investigate his boarding house, resulting in a bevy of comic complications, mistaken identities and slamming doors. The Mansfield Playhouse brings back its successful 2002 production of this raucous comedy by popular demand!

FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY

A hilarious broadband comedy of errors, You've Got Hate Mail takes an hysterical look at the world on on-line hook-ups and break-ups. In You've Got Hate Mail, love "bytes" all when an extra-marital affair goes horribly wrong, thanks to a juicy e-mail sent to the wrong mailbox. The story is told entirely in e-mails from laptop computers, although the play still manages to have an unforgettable chase scene fueled by cell phones and PDAs.
